Faith and the Beloved ~ Kocheri C Shibu

In the novel Faith and the Beloved, Kochery C Shibu is aiming to portray the value systems of individuals and to what extent the individuals are willing to go to protect their loved ones.

As I was reading the novel, it is this theme that stood out to me most. As the title itself suggests, Faith or what one believes in will dictate your behaviour. Protecting your loved ones is part and parcel of Indian culture as it is illustrated through the novel’s timeline.

The characters are grey and their deeds seem questionable at times. The reader is left to ponder regarding the nature of the actions of the protagonists and how it relates in the society. Are the actions of the protagonists justifying crime in the name of protecting their loved ones?

Even though the novel is a historical thriller, it does highlight the all-pervasive casteism that we are still struggling with.

Advisory

The crime thriller mystery novel is for mature adult readers. It contains graphic descriptions which may not suit all. Reader discretion is advised.

Child of illusions - Camilla Mahal

Title - Child of illusions
Author Camillia Mahal
Format - Kindle
Read time - 5 hours max.

``` 'As a child I asked the gods to make my life as difficult as they could so I could experience what others go through and what the world was.' ``` these lines by author really taught me _No matter what, every experience in life counts_.
It is a slow paced book. The book is a flashback to Camillia 's past. Highlighting the life she lived. She from this book wanted to tell about the incidents and accidents happened to her in the past.
Everyone's dream is to live princess life but no one actually knows it' s consequences.
In this book -
The Author has good connections with the family of Akbar. Her name was Arjunmad. For her it was difficult to live a life a princess lives. She was a fighter queen always ready to fight.
As we go further into the story it shows the development of the Character from being a princess to one of the remarkable queen.
As per the content Camillia has lives many lives and according to the record this life is her 650th life. The story gets interesting bit by bit and Supporting characters of the book enhance the beauty.
The book length is divided into 40 chapters. The language is simple and writing style is unique. The cover itself seems to be peace and gives a idea about the happening.
Over all a interesting read.
Rythym of Remembrance
Book : Rythym of Remembrance
Author : Samir Satam
Format : Kindle
Synopsis :
Without memories we are loose fragments that have no way of understanding either others or our own selves, which in turn leaves us incapable of ever loving or forgiving both ourselves and others.
Reminiscing is like diving deep within…
…to rediscover the landscape of things that happened to us,
…to smell the fragrance of everything and everyone we loved and lost – sometimes to death, sometimes to life,
…to listen to words that have long left our lips, and to words that could never leave,
…to find ways to see in a new light, things we have struggled and failed to un-see,
…to close our eyes and feel the texture of lost times of our lives,
However, as long as we are capable of remembering, is anything ever lost?
As long as our feet know the path back to our past, how do we stop dancing to this Rhythm of Remembrance?
My Take :
This book is compilation of 75 poetry scribbled by the author on his emotional journey- A journey to hold and wait.
The Poetries are mixed - Happy, Sad, emotional, journey, experiences and what not
The poems have no tittle but to my knowledge the illustrations and images provided in the book looks amazing. Gives more impact while reading.
I really loved the book, illustration along with poetry are so in to have in collection. For me allignment was a bit problem, the book seemed Messier otherwise everything else was good.
- Title and Cover both are intriguing
- Language used is simple and easy to understand.
- Verses are crisp which shows a lot. And that's a good point to explain many things with few verses.
- book is light read with roller coaster of emotions and journey of life.
To my Experience , Dream Beyond Shadows is one of that uniquely scripted authobiography which has an amazing travelogue. One thing about the book i like that there is no restriction on theme or topic based , it actually covers the wide range of plots. It covers legit ebery thing we face in our nation.
Self realisation is the best realisation , this is what author has conveyed while writing. Always be out of the box and sometimes risk factors turns your life into beautiful experience which is wort.
I liked the cover of the book. It is attractive and really Catchy. The fonts used look so simple.
About the author's writing , it is way to rhythmatic and lyrical which gives nice flow to the sentence.
I liked the way author has placed some poetries in between , which are really a great plus point while reading.
Overall a lovely book
Review : This is how I became sanyasi by Khemlata Negi
That is how I became sanyasi by Khemlata Negi seeks a very beautiful and aesthetic book cover. The name seeks attention towards something spiritual . The book reveals the story from both side of the coins with respect to Gautam and Diksha. Both of these famous saints met each other at Rishikesh Uttarakhand .
The beautiful story was narrated by the author , author has shown us the story in the way for us to get inspired by how to control our emotions and how to handle the situation we are in . It also shows how their life turned into the life of spirituality .
The journey of the characters were really well. While reading you can feel the characters. Each and every emotion of the character was written in dept. The characterisation was strong , though there were limited Characters. The flow of every sentence was lucid , the writing style is what I fell for .
Amazing plot .
Nowadays Rape has being so casual in our country that , chance of justice is low. The author has put forward the cruelty of rape case and story behind them of getting closed or mocked away.
The Rape trial is a book which inspires us to raise voice against wrong. This book talks about the demon of this cruel world.
I witnessed the entire journey while reading , which makes it a good read.
The plot turned out to be a bit more lengthy ! It could have been compressed and shortened.
I love the cover it was catchy.
The flow of language was lucid.
Over-all a good one.
